EIZO UK will be hosting the biggest EIZO Student Awards yet beginning Spring 2023

The EIZO Student Awards is an annual competition hosted in the UK that provides students studying photographic and filmmaking courses an opportunity to showcase their talent and develop real life experience of working to a brief and deadline that will give them a head start in the creative industry. The competition has evolved over time to better support the next generation of creatives while raising awareness of the EIZO brand in education.
The 2022 Student Awards was EIZO’s 4th and most successful yet thanks to over 200 applications from over 40 Universities. Out of 15 finalists, who attended an Exhibition & Awards Ceremony in June 2022, 3 students were announced as winners – each winning an EIZO ColorEdge monitor.
After the success of last year, EIZO is committed to making this year’s competition even bigger!
For the first time, students will be able to enter a total of 4 categories across photo and video with the winner of each category receiving an EIZO ColorEdge CG2700S monitor. Brand new to the UK this year, it’s the best prize EIZO has ever offered in the Student Awards.
The UK team will host an Exhibition & Awards Ceremony at EIZO’s HQ in Ascot, England to announce the winners of the competition. The event will give 5 finalists from each category the opportunity to network with each other, meet the people behind the competition and view their submissions in person – which will be on display in the Student Awards gallery.
EIZO UK’s CEO, Colin Woodley, when commenting on the awards; “I love looking at the most beautiful art. It’s one of the favourite parts of my job. But it’s not just about seeing the work now, it's seeing what the students do next and crossing paths with each other again in the future that excites me”.
The creatives of tomorrow will be made up of those starting their careers today. It is our duty to pass the knowledge and expertise we have onto the next generation.
The Student Awards is a platform to achieve this and is amplified through collaboration with like-minded people and organisations. We all share the same goal, to create a more prosperous environment where creativity continues to thrive.
